In just three weeks on June 9th I will continue my Ride for Memories raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Over this past year I have met and spoken with 100’s of families and individuals who are dealing with Alzheimer’s and remain steadfast on the need to raise fuds to help find a cure and support caregivers
This year I am joining a two other riders (CharlieD and DanK), from last year’s Ride Across America and have accepted the challenge of “Ride the Rockies“. This event is a week long ride climbing over 25,000 feet in 418 miles. This year’s ride starts in Breckenridge Colorado and heads to Edwards, Steamboat Springs, Grand Lake and Winter Park. (see below).
To-date we have raised $13,500 (not including corporate matching), and with your help I hope to reach and exceed $16,000.
This year I am riding a new 2018 Trek “Project One”, Domane SLR with disk brakes and electronic shifting. A sweet ride to help me climb the hills and stay fresh. If only Trek could figure out to help me adjust to the 9,600 base elevation for the start of the ride.
